But how often do we feel a disconnect between who we are now and that vision-board self? This gap is where the “meant for more” feeling comes into play.

As an interior designer, I’ve learned that designing your ideal life mirrors designing an ideal home. Just as clients use vision boards to articulate their ideal home, we use vision boards to clarify our ideal life.
A vision board helps you define what you want your life to look and feel like. For instance, my vision board might include images of freedom, joy, and a fulfilling career, but my visual representation of what that means is going to be vastly different to yours. Your vision board will reflect what matters most to you, and it’s essential to start with this visual representation to gain clarity and start to nourish your soul and feed that ‘meant for more’ feeling.
Embodying Your Vision Board Self
Creating a vision board is just the beginning. The real transformation happens when you start living as your vision board self today. It's not enough to dream about your ideal life; you need to take actionable steps to embody it.
Ask yourself, “What would my vision board self do today?” This might mean making small, daily decisions that align with your vision. For example, if your vision includes being healthy and energised, schedule your workouts and stick to them. Would your vision-board self skip out on workouts? I bet the answer would be no. It might seem insignificant today, but it sets the stage for your vision-board self to thrive.
